What is the ideal location for a utopia?

Should a utopia exist in the woods? The desert? A city? A self-built town with town center? In our hearts? Or in an entirely new concept of "place"?

  1. Hmm. Good question. I think a utopia should be a place where you can feel a connection with nature and have moments of self reflection, so that might suggest a country setting. But I think a utopia could stagnate if its members were too isolated, and only interacted with each other. Maybe there should be two campuses, a city one and a country one. Or maybe a town center would provide an appropriate mix of the city and the country. Would all the people in the town be coopertive members of the same utopian society? Or would it work better if there were different factions within the town, smaller more individualized groups of people who shared specific ideals?
